The competition saw 64 pairs down to 16 for the final night on Friday 8th July.
On lookers were predicting a Manuel/Brown vs Ditchfield/Hargreaves final but both would fall at the first hurdle following impressive performances from the East Lancs duo, Mick Opie & Steve Anderton and Lytham's Paul Wilson & Bryan Clarke.
It would seem Wilson & Clarke would face another challenging game in their Semi-Final against first time entrants, Gareth Coates & Scott Fisher. The Yorkshire pair showed they weren't just here to make up the numbers after some convincing wins in their qualifying rounds. However, it wasn't to be the case with Wilson & Clarke easing through with a 21-13 win.
In the other half, Morgan & Graham narrowly got over the line in their first game against Andy Fleming & Mark Martindale, 21-20, before comfortably dispatching Opie & Anderton to cement their place in the final.

An new winner on the trophy was a guarantee. Two North Lancs & Fylde pairs, Lytham vs Lostock Hall, Kirkham Cons vs Lostock Cons.
An edgy final with both pairs showing why they had got to this stage. Whilst there were some impressive wins along the way for the Kirkam Cons men it was Morgan & Graham who showed their great current form to win 21-18.
A huge thank you to the entrants and spectators this year, you're continued support is truly appreciated.
Also to the volunteers who turned up week in week out to run this competition. To those marking, measuring or serving behind the bar or preparing the pie & peas. Without you this wouldn't be possible.
